If Your Backup Battery Starts Beeping or Wailing

Removing the Old Battery and Restoring Power to your Internet

1. Locate the Battery Enclosure

It will be black or whilte, and will say “Cyberpower” or “Precision Power” on the side

2. Unplug the two power cords from the back.

If one of the cords is zip-tied to the unit, do not remove that one.

3. Remove the battery box panel

Below the two power cords is a panel that slides down and comes off. Slide it down and remove it.

Once the panel is removed you’ll have access to the internal battery.

4. Slide the battery out

5. Detach the red and black wires

You’ll notice two wires attached to the battery. One red and one black.  Remove the wires from the battery by pulling on them. Slide them down the length of the body of the battery. They can be a bit difficult to remove so don’t be afraid to pull really hard. After the two wires are removed from the internal battery you can take it out completely and set it to the side.

If you can’t get those wires to detach, email us at support@ecfiber.net or call 802-763-2262

6. Slide the back panel on and plug the two power cords from step 2 into the Black Battery Enclosure.

After a few moments your service should be back on.
