ValleyNet is seeking an experienced Support Technician to join our team of dedicated people providing fiber optic internet to homes and businesses in East Central Vermont. RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

Troubleshooting internet and phone issues with customers over the phone.

Reading and responding to emails/tickets in our support program regarding technical issues.

Support Technician applicants will have the ability to guide our customers through basic support such as setting up WiFi routers and walking them through testing hardwired connections, ensuring equipment is properly powered, and other general steps to determine where problems may be originating, and assisting customers with WiFi connectivity/speed problems.

Support Technician(s) will be required to answer phone calls as they come in, and either address them or transfer the caller to the proper department. Maintaining and organizing ticket categories in our support program, and performing special projects as assigned are also required.

REQUIREMENTS INCLUDE:

1+ years of applicable internet related technical troubleshooting. Must have general knowledge of in-home wired/Wifi networks.

Excellent written and oral communications skills.

High school diploma or GED (minimum).

Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Must pass a background check.
