Sales & Scheduling Representative

Office Location: Royalton, Vermont

ValleyNet, Inc., the company that operates the ECFiber and LymeFiber networks, is seeking a sales & scheduling representative to increase our installed base for our clients. A successful candidate will be working with marketing staff to increase interest and propose promotions to attract new customers, and then helping those prospects
through the steps to become a customer. Scheduling and dispatching Installation staff will be a major responsibility of the position. This position requires effectively interacting with all departments at ValleyNet to smoothly transform interested prospects into happy customers. Compensation includes base salary plus team bonus.

Roles and Responsibilities:
This role includes a broad variety of tasks including but not limited to:
● Working with the Marketing team, run programs to drive new prospect interest in fiber internet service use internal lists to solicit renewed interest make occasional cold calls to specific customer lists attend local events on a rotating basis
● Respond to customer inquiries, both phone and online
● Work prospects through the steps required to become customers
● Interface with Operations to give customers a good idea of timing and any special requirements that may arise
● Schedule and dispatch Installation Technicians to customer sites
● Complete all needed documentation in our customer tracking system
● Ensure that proper billing is established in the billing system
● Pass technical support and billing issues for current customers to the proper teams while maintaining proper documentation
● Other tasks as assigned by management

● Very strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships with internal and external contacts
● Demonstrated ability to work with all parts of an organization on behalf of the customer
● Excellent telephone skills
● Ability to learn new technology, including the processes needed to deliver fiber internet service, customer database and ticketing systems, and billing systems

Preferred Experience:
● Prior experience in a business-to-consumer environment is preferred
● Sales experience not required but a positive attitude about sales is!
