Governor Douglas to View ECFiber’s Future Headquarters

White River Junction. As part of the Town of Hartford’s Governor’s Day, Hartford Town Manager Hunter Rieseberg has invited Vermont Governor Jim Douglas to a presentation about ECFiber. The event will take place on Wednesday, October 29 at 11:15:AM at ECFiber’s future headquarters, located at 46 South Main Street in downtown White River Junction. The building is the former White River Junction post office, fittingly built as part of the WPA program, with the cornerstone laid by FDR’s Treasury Secretary Henry Morgenthau.

The presentation is expected to last approximately 15 minutes, and will include remarks from Loredo Sola, ECFiber Chair, Stephen Willbanks, Strafford Selectman and ECFiber board member, John Roy, ECFiber Treasurer, and Stan Williams, ValleyNet Board Chair.

Nearly 20% of all households in the ECFiber territory have pre-registered for service. The project is expected to provide significant economic stimulus to the region as we face increasingly uncertain economic times.

Please join us for an update on the project and its importance to the region.
